SELİS KOLTUK MOBİLYA İTHALAT İHRACAT SANAYİ VE TİCARET ANONİM ŞİRKETİ Last updated: 25.08.2026

This English text is provided for your convenience; the Turkish version is the legally binding one.

1. What Is a Cookie?

Cookies are small text files saved to your device through your browser when you visit a website. They contain no harmful software; they hold only text data. They allow the site to recognise you, remember your preferences and personalise your experience.

2. Consent and Managing Your Preferences

Through the cookie banner that appears when you first visit our site, you can:

  • accept all cookies,
  • allow only essential cookies,
  • customise your preferences by category.

No cookie other than the essential ones is placed on your device without your explicit consent.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using the "Manage Cookie Preferences" link at the bottom of the page.

Where is your preference stored? Your cookie preference is stored not in a cookie but in your browser's own local storage under the name selis_cerez_onay. That record stays only in your browser; it is not sent to our server with every page request and contains no identifying information — only which categories you have allowed. If you clear your browser's site data, that record is deleted and you will be asked for your preference again.

3. Cookie Categories We Use

3.1 Essential Cookies

Required for the basic functions of the site; consent is not sought. Without these cookies the cart, checkout and session functions do not work.

Correction (25.08.2026): A previous version of this policy listed a cookie named cookie_consent in the table above. The correct position is this: your cookie preference is not stored as a cookie; as described in section 2, it is held in your browser's local storage. The table has been corrected accordingly.

3.2 Performance / Analytics Cookies

Used to measure how visitors use our site and to improve site performance. The data collected is anonymised; it is not used to identify individuals.

4. Our Cookie-Free Visitor Measurement

The analytics and marketing cookies above run only when you consent. Even when you do not consent, we would like to know which of our pages are visited and how often — we improve our shop accordingly. For that we use our own counter, which writes no cookies at all and does not identify you in any way.

This counter runs on our own server and keeps only a daily total. The record it keeps looks like this: "25.08.2026 · this product page · 42 views". That number contains no information about who you are. As no record is kept per visitor, nobody can be singled out from it afterwards.

What we measure with this counter:

  • how many times each page was viewed,
  • how many times each product was viewed,
  • how many times a product was added to the cart, how many times checkout was reached and how many orders were completed,
  • where the visit came from — only as a type: direct / search engine / social media / other sites,
  • device type — only as a type: mobile / desktop / tablet,
  • requests from automated crawlers (search engine bots); these are counted separately and do not mix with real visitor numbers.

What this counter does NOT do:

  • It writes no cookie to your device and does not read your existing cookies.
  • It gives you no identity: it creates no visitor number, tracking ID or similar identifier.
  • It does not store your IP address — not even in hashed form.
  • It does not take a browser fingerprint: no screen size, font list, hardware details or similar data are collected.
  • It does not link your visits; it cannot know that two separate visits belong to the same person.
  • It does not record the part of the page address after the question mark (your search term, your coupon code, and so on).
  • It does not share this data with third parties and does not use it for advertising.

Because this measurement does not process personal data, it falls outside the scope of Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and is not subject to your consent; for that reason it does not appear as a separate option in the cookie banner. The consent-based measurement and advertising tools (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads) run only when you allow them, as described in sections 3.2 and 3.3; this counter does not replace them and does not affect them.

5. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences

Through the site: you can update your preferences at any time using the "Manage Cookie Preferences" link at the bottom of the page.

Through your browser settings: depending on the browser you use, you can follow these steps:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Cookies
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, Search and Services → Cookies

If you block all cookies in your browser, some functions of our site (cart, session, checkout) may not work properly.

To opt out of Google Analytics: you can use the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

To opt out of Meta advertising: you can edit the "Ad Preferences" section in your Facebook account settings.

6. Third-Party Data Processing Responsibility

Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. are independently responsible for processing the data they collect through their own cookies. These companies may transfer data outside the European Economic Area; such transfers are carried out under their own privacy policies.

7. Relationship with Personal Data

Data collected through cookies is processed under Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. For detailed information please see the Personal Data Protection Notice at www.selishome.com.

8. Updates to This Policy

This Cookie Policy may be updated in line with legal changes or changes in the tools we use. You will be notified of significant changes when you visit the site.
