Armchair

An armchair is a single seating unit with arms. It is placed opposite the sofa set, in a corner of the living room, or by the window in a bedroom. Selishome armchairs are made in İnegöl, in the same fabric and colour options as the sets.

Armchair dimensions
The armchairs in our catalogue are 92-97 cm wide and 96-97 cm deep, with a seat height of around 77 cm. These are the classic armchair proportions: a little deeper than a single chair and with a more reclined back angle, suited to sitting for long periods.

Where does it go, and how much space is needed?
Leave at least 60 cm of clear space in front of the armchair; if it is a model with a footrest, increase that to 90 cm. If it is to be placed in a corner of the room, standing it 10-15 cm away from both walls is better for both cleaning and appearance.

Armchair or single chair?
A single chair is part of the set and carries the same form as the set. An armchair is an independent piece; chosen in a different fabric or colour, it adds movement to the room without disturbing the layout. For those setting up a reading corner, an armchair is considered together with a side table and a floor lamp.

An armchair in the bedroom
If the bedroom is large enough, an armchair by the window creates a practical space for dressing and resting. For that use, allow at least 110 cm of clear wall for a 92 cm wide armchair.
