Bedroom

The bedroom is the home's resting place and also the part with the greatest need for storage. The Selishome bedroom collection consists of sets, bed frames and wardrobes; the products are made in İnegöl.

A set, or piece by piece?
A bedroom set gives you the bed frame, two bedside tables, a chest of drawers, a mirror and a wardrobe together. Because they share the same materials and colour language there is no problem of matching, and the total cost usually stays below buying them one by one. If you already have a wardrobe in your room, it is also possible to buy only the bed frame or only the wardrobe.

Mattress and bed frame sizes
The standard mattress sizes are:
- Single: 90x190 or 100x200 cm
- Three-quarter (1.5-person): 120x200 cm
- Double: 160x200 cm
- Wide double: 180x200 cm
The external size of the bed frame is larger than these; the thickness of the headboard and the base structure are added. The bed frame line on the product pages gives the real area the frame occupies, not the mattress — use that figure when planning the room.

Wardrobe dimensions and number of doors
The wardrobes in our catalogue are built from modules 100-128 cm wide; the depth is 62 cm and the height 218-226 cm. The number of doors is not fixed: a 2-door, 3-door, 4-door or 6-door run is built by adding modules. A practical measure is about 100 cm of hanging width per person; for a double bedroom, 200-300 cm of wardrobe is enough in most homes.

How many square metres should the room be?
An arrangement of a double bed, two bedside tables and a wardrobe works comfortably in 12 square metres. It is also possible in 10 square metre rooms; in that case leave 60-70 cm of circulation space along at least one long side of the bed and consider a sliding wardrobe rather than hinged doors — a hinged door needs another 60 cm in front of it to open.

Glass and mirrored modules
A mirrored wardrobe door visually widens a narrow room and removes the need for a full-length mirror. Glazed sections suit things to be displayed; everyday clothes are better protected from dust in a closed module.

Where are the dimensions written?
On every product page, the "Product Dimensions" section lists the width, depth and height of each piece in the set.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are standard bedroom set dimensions?

In the sets in our catalogue the wardrobe modules are 215-226 cm high and 62-68 cm deep; the bedside tables 65-70 cm wide and 45-50 cm deep; the chests of drawers 156-165 cm wide, 46-52 cm deep and 87-94 cm high. The bed frames are made for a 160×200 cm double mattress. There is no single dimension for a whole set; the pieces are written out one by one on each product page.

How many cm is a three-quarter (1.5-person) bed?

Mattress sizes are standard in Turkey: single 90×200 cm, three-quarter (wide single) 120×200 cm, double 160×200 cm and king size 180×200 cm. The storage beds in the Selishome catalogue are 160×200 cm, and the Grande set is also made in 180×200 cm. Because of the headboard and base structure, the external size of a bed frame is larger than the mattress size; the bed frame line on the product page gives the real area it occupies.

How deep should a wardrobe be?

Because the shoulder width of a coat hanger is typically 45-50 cm, a wardrobe depth is expected not to drop below 60 cm so that clothes do not touch the door. The wardrobe modules in our catalogue are 62-68 cm deep; the Rams 4-door wardrobe, for example, is 173×68×215 cm.

What are the dimensions of a bedside table?

Our bedside tables are 65-70 cm wide and 45-50 cm deep, and mostly 39-46 cm high. As examples: the Pragma bedside table is 65×45×39 cm, the Rams 66×45×44 cm and the Electra 65×45×46 cm. That height sits close to bed level, which makes it easy to reach while lying down.

What clearances should be left when planning a bedroom?

Leave 60-70 cm of circulation space along at least one long side of the bed. Wardrobes are 62-68 cm deep; a hinged door needs roughly another 60 cm in front of it when opened, and in narrow rooms sliding doors remove that requirement. Because the wardrobe height is 215-226 cm, measure your ceiling height too and make sure there is clearance above.
