Capi Extending Round Dining Table

Capi is an extending table that is round when closed and becomes oval when opened. Its three-legged crossed metal body carries the table from the centre, so chairs sit comfortably anywhere around it with nothing to catch your feet on. There are five diameters: 90, 100, 110, 120 and 130 cm. The smallest extends to 170 cm when open, the largest to 226 cm; so it takes up little room day to day and grows for a full table. The height is 77 cm in all sizes. For the table top you can choose from 20 panel patterns (marble, travertine and stone textures) and 6 wood decors. There are 8 options for the leg and frame colour. The choice of top and legs does not change the price; the price is set by the size of the table alone. ABOUT THE TABLE TOP MATERIAL Four main materials are used for dining table tops, and the difference between them is felt directly in daily use: MDF / HDF panel — Made by pressing wood fibres, then finished with a patterned surface. It is light, does not crack on impact, and offers the widest choice of patterns. It is sensitive to water and to prolonged heat; a mat under hot dishes is recommended. Ceramic — Made by firing a mix of clay and minerals at high temperature. A pan straight from the oven can be set on it, a knife tip will not scratch it, and wine and coffee stains do not penetrate the surface. It is heavy, and a hard knock on a corner can chip it. Porcelain (sintered stone) — Made on the same principle as ceramic but at higher pressure. Its water absorption is under one part in a thousand, so in practice it does not stain. It adds higher bending strength to all the advantages of ceramic. Natural marble — Real stone, with a unique pattern on every slab. Being porous, acidic liquids such as lemon and vinegar leave permanent dull marks on the surface; it needs regular protective care. It is the heaviest and the most striking option.
