Description
Virjin Dining Room Set consists of an extending dining table, six chairs and a console. The table seats six in daily use; opened from the centre, the extra leaf comes into play for a table of eight, so there is no need to look for a second table when guests come. The top is in a light travertine texture, framed at the edges with an oak profile. The surface is unaffected by hot pans, scratches and stains; in homes with children that detail makes a difference. Two fluted cylindrical pedestals carry the table on an oak base plate, and as there are no legs at the corners, chairs can be pulled up wherever you like. The chairs are covered in white boucle, with curved backs and solid oak frames. In the middle of the console there is a display case in fluted reflective glass; when the LED strip inside is on, the glass glows amber and adds evening light to the room. The compartments with doors at the sides have shelves, keeping the dinner service and table linen out of sight. This pairing of white lacquer and light oak leaves an airy dining area in bright rooms.
