Turkish Furniture Delivered to the UK: How It Works
Short answer: Selishome makes and sells furniture in İnegöl, Turkey, and delivers Turkish furniture to the UK by quote. The United Kingdom is not one of the countries where shipping is included in our prices, so you cannot check out through the basket with a UK address. You tell us which pieces you want and where they are going, and we reply in writing with the price, shipping, taxes and delivery time.
Why is Turkish furniture for the UK sold by quote?
For countries such as Germany, the Netherlands or France, shipping is built into the product price and you order straight from the basket. The UK is outside the European Union, so customs, import VAT and shipping are worked out separately for every order. Rather than show you a figure that may not hold, we calculate your order individually and send you a written quote.
How to request a quote
- Choose your model. Every product page lists the dimensions and the pieces in the set. Turkish sofa sets, corner sofas, bedroom sets and dining rooms each have their own category.
- Ask for a quote. When you browse from the UK, product pages show a "Request a price quote" button. You can also use the quote request page. Tell us which pieces you want and your delivery address (town and postcode).
- Receive your written quote. Our export team replies by email or WhatsApp, in English.
- Confirm, and we open the order. In-stock items are prepared for dispatch; made-to-order items go into production once you confirm.
What the quote covers
- the price of the pieces you chose,
- shipping to your address in the UK,
- who pays customs duty and import VAT, and how,
- production and delivery time,
- payment terms.
We do not publish a general figure for any of these on this page, because each depends on the volume of your order and on your address. What applies is the written quote we send you.
Turkish sofas in the UK: the fire safety label
The UK has its own fire safety rules for upholstered furniture such as sofa sets, corner sofas, armchairs and upholstered chairs: the foam and the fabric must be tested to those rules and the item must carry a permanent label. So when you ask for a quote on a Turkish sofa or sofa set for the UK, the quote states separately whether that model can be supplied with a label that meets the UK rules.
Non-upholstered furniture – bedroom sets, wardrobes, nightstands, dressers, dining tables, console tables and TV units – is not subject to this label.
Which furniture can be sent to the UK?
You can request a quote for any product on the site. Our Velora, Granada, Opera and Massimo bedroom sets come from our own production; the rest of the range is also made in İnegöl. A classic sofa set from us consists of two three-seater sofas and one armchair (3+3+1).
Do you have a Turkish furniture shop in London, Manchester or Birmingham?
No. We have no shop or showroom in the UK; our stores are in Turkey. We work with customers in London, Manchester, Birmingham and the rest of the UK online, and answer questions about sizes, fabrics and colours on WhatsApp.
